Galileo: I Was Forced to Say the Sun Moves. I Lied. It Doesn't.
Galileo Galilei was put under house arrest for saying Earth orbits the Sun — then secretly wrote his greatest scientific work from that same prison home, smuggled the manuscript out of Italy, and may or may not have muttered "And yet it moves" under his breath. The fact that everyone *wants* it to be true says everything.
